Quizás sientes esto

  • You've seen 'scholarship' camps that still charge equipment deposits or lunch fees — the math never works.
  • After-school is packed during the year — summer is the only window, and affordable options in Del Mar vanish fast.
  • You want environmental depth, not a beach photo day that ignores Tijuana River pollution and watershed realities.

Lo que cambia cuando los jóvenes entran al agua

  • Integration with Ocean Stewards after-school gives Del Mar teens a year-round arc beyond one summer week.
  • Marine ecology afternoons connect surf skills to watershed science relevant to Del Mar and San Diego.
  • Wetsuits, soft-top boards, and rashguards provided for the entire week — properly sized youth gear.

Por qué operamos este programa en Del Mar

Del Mar's 2.5-mile coastline produces some of the cleanest water and most consistent small waves in the region, protected by the San Dieguito River mouth eddies. Our 15th Street Beach lessons sit in front of Powerhouse Park, which doubles as our outdoor classroom. We partner with Del Mar Union's Del Mar Heights and Ashley Falls Elementary — serving primarily inland Del Mar Mesa and Carmel Valley neighborhoods.

Surf Camp en Del Mar — Lo que debes saber

Free surf camp for Del Mar youth is part of a broader Cali-Baja movement — ocean access, watershed health, and cultural arts — documented across our partner network in San Diego County.

Looking for free summer surf camp for kids in Del Mar? Every cohort includes 3/2mm wetsuits, soft-top boards, rashguards, daily lunch, snacks, and ocean safety modules covering rip currents, tide awareness, and lineup etiquette.

Por qué Del Mar importa para nuestra misión

Cross-border watershed work matters to Del Mar because Tijuana River pollution and coastal health don't stop at a border fence. Our education modules name that reality honestly.

Del Mar families deserve instructors who look like their kids and speak their language. With 20% BIPOC residents, bilingual coaching isn't a nice-to-have — it's how we earn trust on day one.
